Meet Sarah Kate Benjamin

As an herbalist, holistic chef and cookbook author, Sarah Kate knows the importance cooking has on our daily lives. She sees the kitchen as a sanctuary. A respite from the long day, where creativity, comfort and calm coincide. For her, there’s no deeper nourishment than the nourishment we feel connecting to ourselves, or with the ones we love, over a delicious meal.

Cooking became second nature after learning to garden in her early twenties. With so many herbs, greens and vegetables growing in her community garden, she focused on putting them to good use in the kitchen. During this time, she also struggled with chronic fatigue syndrome and found that creating a practice of cooking wholesome foods infused with restorative herbs brought back a sense of vitality she once lost.

From there, she was hooked and dove deep into studying the healing powers of herbs and honed her cooking skills. She’s studied herbalism at the Florida School of Holistic Living and Herb Pharm, clinical Ayurvedic foundations at the dhyana Center, and apprenticed in the buddhist kitchens of Tassjara Zen Mountain Center.

Her work in co-creating The Kosmic Kitchen has deepened her passion for helping people all over the world feel empowered through everyday herbal kitchen practices that support their healing, creativity and connection to the earth.

WHAT Past clients ARE SAYING…

My favorite part was having Sarah as a teacher! She’s a wonderful teacher and a wealth of knowledge, information and experience. She made everything feel accessible and fun. She took the time to answer all of my questions so thoughtfully. It felt very personalized and I appreciated that she would always send me links and resources to things we talked about in class. I also really enjoyed learning how to use herbs in food in an accessible way. I am not the most technology-inclined person, and yet I was amazed at how much I could learn and feel connected through a screen! I honestly don’t have a least favorite part, other than that I wish the classes didn’t have to end :)

Working with Sarah Kate was one of the best things I have done for my family. With an infant, a toddler (who is a very picky eater), and a husband who works all the time, my days quickly become very hectic and I often find myself scrambling to put together a meal at the very last minute.

Sarah helped me organize and prioritize so that I was able to provide my family with delicious, nutritious meals that incorporated traditional practices like soaking and sprouting, without all the usual stress and commotion.
Each recipe was beautifully simple and easily adaptable to suit anyone’s taste, be it kids or vegetarians like myself. We enjoyed every one of the recipes!

FAQ’s

Why do you work with clients for 3 months?

I’ve found that most people really need more than just one session to help make nourishing rituals a daily practice. Being able to spend more time diving into your constitution, walking through how to make herbal foods step-by-step, and having accountability and support each month can make all the difference. Especially, when you’re wanting to work with these practices long-term. Being a kitchen herbalist is a lifestyle and something that takes time to develop and create your own relationship with. I look forward to helping you on your journey to feeling empowered to become your own best healer.

How do we meet each month?

We’ll meet bi-weekly (twice a month) for an hour or more in our own kitchens via Zoom, Skype, or Facetime—depending on what platform works best for you. When you sign up, we’ll schedule and set up our monthly cooking classes, so you’ll easily plan your calendar accordingly. Life happens and if something comes up and you’re unable to make a session, you can reschedule by giving 24 hours’ notice.

How much time will I need each month?

Before each session, I’ll send over a shopping list or supplies list for the foods we’ll be making together that week. This way, you’ll have everything ready to go when we get cooking! Our sessions together will be an hour to an hour and a half. You’ll also need to factor in your usual time over the weekend or during your week to go shopping for weekly supplies. We can design a shopping schedule that works with your current routine to make your life easier. With a shopping list, I’ll create for you, you’ll save time shopping and planning for the week.

Can I pay for the monthly subscription on Paypal?

Yes, we can do that! Unfortunately, Squarespace doesn’t allow for Paypal at checkout for subscriptions, which is annoying. But good news! Just send me an email below and I’ll set up the subscription for you on Paypal. You’ll receive an email to input your payment information.

How do the payments work?

You’ll be set up on reoccurring payments of $349 a month for 3-months. The day you sign up and pay your first installment of $349, is the date you will be charged that amount for the following 2-months.

Can i Cancel the Classes?

These classes were designed for folks who are looking for support and accountability while building upon the materials over a three month timeframe. After our first month of sessions, if you find you’re not satisfied, I can cancel the two remaining months of payments for you.

Will this work if I have special dietary restrictions?

Yes, absolutely! Together we can tailor any needs you have to make our sessions work best for you and your unique needs. If you have specific questions regarding this, sign up for a complimentary call below.
